Duration: 6 months
Primary Skills:
·This position is for an experienced Quality Assurance team member with 5-10+ years work experience including 3+ years with regards to mobile handset applications.
Description:
Experienced in helping assess and test mobile handset applications focusing upon networking technology, functional operation and usability.
Responsibilities include:
• In terms of mobile handset experience, the person should be familiar with such platforms as Android, Windows Mobile, RIM and or BREW. In addition, experience in certifying applications from a functional, networking and or security perspective is a plus.
•The individual should be used to working within an Agile type environment with respect to small teams, projects of 1-3 month duration, working closely with development, business analysts, other testers and infrastructure teams regarding product deployment.
• The individual should be a self-starter, have strong communication skills, be a team player and have a high degree of follow through regarding completing their assignments.
.In working within a QA team, the individual should be familiar with creating and reviewing test plans, defect management and executing test cases.
• Having experience with test tools (Quality Center, QTP, Countdown and or LoadRunner), protocols (TCP, HTTP and HTTPS), database concepts, cloud computing, and programming languages (Unix, SQL and either C++, Java or XML) is a plus.
BS and or MS degree in a relevant technical field such as CS, EE or MIS.
Desired:
Possess problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to create sophisticated design solutions to complex problems
Communicate with the project team throughout all stages of design, Manage time effectively, and work on multiple project timelines simultaneously in a demanding deadline driven environment
Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills.
