IT Business Analyst – Enterprise Applications Development Team

Work on the Enterprise Applications development team as a business analyst. Job Description

 

Work on the Enterprise Applications development team as a business analyst.  Primary role is a member of the project team responsible for implementation and roll-out of a revenue assurance software solution, but secondary responsibilities require ushering on-going enhancements to the Oracle Finance and Supply Chain systems through the software development lifecycle.

 

The expectations of the position are:

§  Work within a project team implementing a Revenue Assurance software solution (LavaStorm Analytic Platform) at Cox Communications.  Project team includes both Cox business and IT resources as well as 3rd party software vendor resources (Martin Dawes Analytics).

§  Learn and understand the current business processes around revenue assurance

§  Gather business requirements and document to-be business processes

§  Identify gaps between the requirements and the proposed software solution

§  As needed create design specifications to bridge gaps.

§  Participate in software configuration and documentation of software configuration

§  Work with the project team to gain sign-off on all project documentation

§  Lead testing efforts through ownership of test plan, creation of test cases/scripts, organizing the test efforts of the project team

§  Facilitate issue resolution by appropriately logging, assigning and tracking all issues.

§  Participate in gathering and building training materials.  Assist training as needed.

§  Assist in all software deployments/roll-outs

§  Assist the Enterprise Applications development team responsible for enhancements to the Oracle ERP that supports Finance and Supply Chain. 

o    Review business requirements for enhancements and bug fixes

o    Create/update functional design specifications

o    Support software engineers through technical design and build process

o    Conduct unit testing of enhancement and bug fixes

o    Coordinate UAT testing

o    Plan and participate in deployment activities and transition to support teams

§  Communicate status appropriately to both hiring manager and project managers.

 

Experience/skills needed

Extensive project implementation background and strong grasp of Software Development Lifecycle

3 to 5 years Experience with Oracle Applications (11i required, especially functions/features, configuration, security and support in, at least 3 or more of the following areas,  (Oracle ERP: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, OIC, Purchasing, iProc, Inventory, WMS, Order Mgmt.);

Ability to coordinate between multiple groups

Ability to work independently on major projects

Ability to write detailed design documentation

Ability to writing functional design specifications

            Ability to review technical design documentation and ensure meets requirements for functional designs

            Excellent troubleshooting skills

            Excellent communication skills

            Proficient with SQL and basic relational database concepts

           

Additional skills:

Experience within Telecommunications industry

Experience with Customer Billing business processes & systems

Experience with HP Quality Center

The primary purpose for the Release Administrator role is to coordinate the receipt, apply, communication, tracking, and verification of Infinys-ICOMS releases, hypers, and patches across all environments, databases, and teams.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain environment inventory for all Infinys/iServ-ICOMS components for all databases. Execute periodic audit reports of environments in order to validate level of programs across environments and components. Track expected deliverables for coming releases and validate their delivery and content. Coordinate receipt and communication of deliveries from Convergys. Coordinate and communicate environment changes (refreshes, tech stack changes, etc.) Coordinate Infinys-ICOMS release and hyper applies across all teams and departments. Coordinate creation, expiration, refreshing and sharing of test data bases. Assist with the implementation of Version Control tool. Validate that testing is complete for production apply. Perform approval step to promote objects to environments. Manage SDLC audit compliance for Infinys-ICOMS. Assist in trouble shooting environment issues.
