Location:      Atlanta, GA

Duration:     6 Months+

 

Job Profile

-          3 * 5 years experience performing operational Oracle administration tasks on the UNIX server platform

-          Perform database backup and recovery

-          Create, configure, and maintain physical database

-          Identify and remediate database corruption

-          Perform database object changes and promotions for application support

-          Provide technical database consulting

-          Perform space and capacity management

-          Database performance analysis identifying and remediating resource and capacity constraints

-          Application SQL performance analysis identifying issues and providing remediation recommendations

-          Configure and maintain Oracle networking, security, and housekeeping infrastructure

-          Install and maintain Oracle software including applying patches using MOPatch and OPatch

-          Perform in-depth Oracle trace analysis using tools such as the 10046 and 10053 events and oradebug

 

3 -5 years experience performing operational SAP Business Warehouse Oracle DBA support

-          Perform Oracle database management and administration tasks on the SAP NetWeaver platform

-          Perform database space management and reorganizations using SAP BR tools

-          Research and apply SAP notes

-          Resolve issues through SAP OSS messages

-          Identify and remediate SAP process database issues using the SM50 and SM66 transaction codes

-          Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting SAP BW cube partitioning and parallelism

-          Identifying and remediation data load and process chain issues

-          Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Oracle statistics and histograms on BW cube tables

-          Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Oracle indexes on BW cube tables

-          Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting SAP BW database housekeeping jobs

-          Working knowledge of the SAP BW extended Star schema design

-          Working knowledge of the Oracle optimizer Star transformation access path and associated usage of bitmap

-          indexes, hash joins, and temporary objects

-          Analyze, identify, and remediate SAP BW application query and data load performance issues

-          SAP database trace analysis using the ST05 and RSRT transaction code

-          Monitor, identify, and remediate database performance using the ST** and DB** transaction codes

-          Perform SAP BW database administration tasks using the DB** transaction codes

-          Navigate the SAP BW object hierarchy using the RS** transaction codes

 

Preferred

-          Perl scripting experience

-          Performing database backup and recovery using SAP BR tools

-          Experience working with split mirror backups

-          AIX UNIX experience

-          AIX HACMP failover experience

-          DB2 LUW database administration experience on UNIX

-          SAP Netweaver BW 7.0 experience

-          Oracle 10G experience

-          Multi-terabyte system experience
