Role:
· Option to convert to employee after 3 months with no conversion fee Position Summary The Technical Consultant determines how to implement the client's business needs (requirements) using technology solutions.
· The consultant takes technical responsibility to ensure the solution is fit for purpose - considering and evaluating alternative options.
· The consultant provides solution planning, design, integration, operating system migrations and implementation that may be independent of particular vendor products. The consultant provides project leadership when interfacing with clients and will be involved with Sales, Planning, Delivery, and Support.
· The practitioner provides consultation, proposals, and pilots, proofs of concepts and technical qualification of third-party vendors.
· The technical consultant performs these functions as a specialist in one or more of the primary technology areas.
Key Areas of Responsibility
· Verbal and written communication with customers to understand requirements
· Analysis of requirements resulting in a proposed solution · Review with the customer of the requirements and proposed solution
· Creation of a detailed design that accomplishes the proposed solution in an efficient and effective way
· Accurate estimation of projected effort to ensure a profitable project
· Documentation of test cases (unit level and integration level)
· Code development and/or leading the project as it is programmed in part or in whole offshore
· Testing and/or oversight of offshore testing when applicable to ensure that the code functions as intended and as documented
· Support of the code should there be any problems reported
· Adhering to the estimated effort while delivering high quality software on schedule Qualifications Basic Requirements Bachelor'''s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Strong C/C++ programming skills Strong MS Windows programming environment skills
